About Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Geology is the study of the earth’s crust and its rock formations, it entails classifying and mapping of the composition and distribution of mineral deposits that are contained in the earth’s formations. This course uses the concepts and practices of applied geology as its central theme and brings a balanced and comprehensive treatment of the geological, geochemical, geophysical and economic elements of exploration and mining.
The aim of the course is to equip the student with knowledge of geological mapping, grade control, diamond drilling, data generation and analysis, and the production of mine models that would be required at a producing mine or for advance mineral prospecting.

CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of this course successful students will be awarded with a Diploma in Mine Geology for certification
